US election.
It would seem that the US election effects the stockmarket less than what we would think. When election days are compared to non-election days there is no pattern, good or bad,on the days of elections. So with everyone waiting for the results expectantly the effects on the market could be less than amazing.
Many are predicting a win for Obama and think the US is ready for a major change.Others are reminding us of the “Bradley” effect, this refers to when an African American was running for office and white males said they would vote for him but when the time came to actually cast their vote they voted for a white person instead.
So whether it’s Mccain or Obama we are in for an interesting ride, what new financial policies will they make. Are there big changes to come regarding the war in Iraq and taxes on big business? The candidates have already outlined their policies regarding these two key issues,Obama has said he wants to aid the people of the country more and not the big companies. He has also said he will end the war in Iraq once and for all and resolve the Al-Qaeda situation in Afghanistan.
Mccain on the other hand has said he will continue to aid big companies and some experts are saying this will be more beneficial to the country as a whole.
Well,we don’t have long to wait anymore, the world may be changing as we in South Africa sleep.
